FundingPips Review 2026: Is It Safe and Legit?

FundingPips is a proprietary trading firm that lets traders prove their skills through evaluation challenges and then trade a funded account. Instead of depositing large sums with a traditional broker, you pay for a challenge, follow the firm's rules, and share in the profits if you pass. This review looks at how FundingPips is set up, what each challenge model involves, the fees and leverage that apply, the trading rules you must follow, and how payouts work. Our rating for the firm is 3.60 out of 5.

FundingPips

FundingPips Overview

FundingPips operates as a prop firm rather than a standard retail broker. Its main product is a set of challenge models, including Instant, 1-Step, 2-Step, 3-Step and FundingPips Zero, each with its own leverage, commissions, news rules and payout schedule. The firm also offers FundingPips Pro and a Scaling (Hot Seat) option. The minimum deposit in our database is $2,000, and the maximum leverage is listed at 1:500, although the leverage available on individual programs is considerably lower, as explained below.

The firm has been publicly promoting itself as it approached its third year in operation. In a March 2025 announcement it said MT5 was available again under FundingPips' own license, and it cited more than $110 million in rewards paid and more than 1 million traders worldwide. These are the firm's own claims, so treat them as company statements rather than independently verified figures.

FundingPips Regulation and Safety

Regulatory status is the first thing to check with any firm that handles your money or your challenge fees. Our database does not hold a confirmed regulatory listing for FundingPips, so this review does not state one. Before paying for a challenge, look for the legal entity named in the firm's terms and check whether that entity is licensed in your jurisdiction. Read the refund and payout terms carefully, because they determine what happens to your fee and your profits if a dispute arises.

FundingPips also lists restricted countries. Iran, the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam are named in the current terms, so residents of those countries cannot sign up. Confirm your eligibility on the official site before you buy a challenge.

FundingPips Account Types and Challenge Models

FundingPips sells access through challenge programs rather than conventional live accounts. The main options are:

  • Instant: a faster route to a funded account with the lowest listed FX leverage.
  • 1-Step: a single evaluation phase before funding, with the most flexible news and holding rules among the evaluation models.
  • 2-Step and 2-Step Pro: two evaluation phases, with the highest listed FX leverage among the standard programs.
  • 3-Step: listed as not available for the assets shown in the current material.
  • FundingPips Zero: a model with its own consistency rules, minimum profitable days, and a ban on weekend holding and news trading.

Standard account sizes listed are $25,000, $50,000 and $100,000. Traders can merge or scale up to $300,000 across multiple accounts.

FundingPips Fees, Commissions and Spreads

Costs depend on the asset class and the program you choose. Commissions are charged per lot on FX and metals, while indices and energy carry no commission. Crypto is charged as a percentage.

AssetFP Zero1-Step, 2-Step, 2-Step Pro
FX$7 per lot$5 per lot
Metals$7 per lot$5 per lot
IndicesNo commissionNo commission
EnergyNo commissionNo commission
Crypto0.04% commission0.04% commission

Spreads are not confirmed in our database, so compare the live pricing on the platform before choosing a program. Remember that commissions are only part of the cost. Spread, swap fees and the challenge price itself all affect whether a funded account is worth the outlay.

FundingPips Leverage by Program

Leverage is set per program and per asset, so the headline 1:500 figure is not what most traders will receive. The listed values are:

ProgramFXMetalsIndicesEnergyCrypto
Instant1:501:201:201:101:2
1-Step1:301:101:51:101:1
2-Step1:1001:301:201:101:2

3-Step is listed as not available for the assets shown. Lower leverage limits the size of your position relative to the account, which can be useful for risk control but also restricts strategies that depend on high exposure.

FundingPips Trading Platforms

FundingPips supports cTrader, Match Trader and MetaTrader 5. The firm's announcement confirmed that MT5 is available again under its own license. Platform choice matters for EA compatibility, charting tools and order types, so check which platform suits your method before buying a challenge. Expert Advisor use is limited, as covered in the trading rules below.

FundingPips Deposits and Withdrawals

Challenge fees can be paid by a range of methods, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, bank transfer, credit and debit cards, crypto, Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe Card, Skrill and Astropay. Payouts can be sent by bank transfer, crypto, Mastercard, Riseworks and Visa Direct. Confirm which payout methods are available in your country, as availability can vary and processing times are not stated in our source material.

FundingPips Trading Rules to Know

The rules are the part of FundingPips that most often causes failed accounts, so read them before you trade. The main points are:

  • Risk per trade: do not risk more than 1% per trade or trade idea.
  • 3% rule (1-Step, 2-Step, 2-Step Pro): no single loss can exceed 3% of the account size. Splitting one trade into several positions still counts as one trade.
  • Same-direction re-entry: opening a new trade in the same direction within 5 minutes of closing a losing trade counts as the same trade idea.
  • Inactivity: you must open and close at least one trade within 30 days.
  • Weekend holding: allowed on 1-Step, 2-Step and 2-Step Pro, but not on FundingPips Zero.
  • Forbidden strategies: include gap trading, latency arbitrage, hedging, reverse arbitrage, and opposite account trading, among others.

News Trading

News rules differ by model. Evaluation accounts on 1-Step, 2-Step and 2-Step Pro allow news trading. On funded 1-Step, 2-Step and 2-Step Pro accounts, profits will not count if a trade is opened less than 5 hours before high-impact news and closed within 5 minutes before or after the event. The On-Demand reward cycle on 1-Step and 2-Step allows news trading without restrictions, and FundingPips Zero does not allow it.

Consistency and Profitable-Day Requirements

FundingPips Zero has a consistency rule that caps your biggest winning day at 15% of total profits and requires a 15% consistency score to request a reward. It also requires seven profitable days within each 30-day period, and missing this is a rule violation. The On-Demand 90% split has its own requirement: a 35% consistency score, meaning no single day can make up more than 35% of total profit. Consistency resets after each reward.

Copy Trading and Expert Advisors

You can copy trades between your own FundingPips accounts under the same individual. External copying is more restricted, as a FundingPips account may only act as a master to an external slave account. The firm also references a partnership with Prop Firm One for broader copy trading across firms. EAs are allowed only if they act as a trade or risk manager. Other third-party EAs are not permitted.

Capital Allocation Limits

You can merge or scale up to $300,000 maximum across multiple accounts, so growth is capped rather than unlimited.

FundingPips Payouts and Reward Cycles

Payouts depend on the model and the reward cycle you choose. The minimum payout is 1% of the initial balance, and no maximum payout is listed. The split you receive changes by cycle, as shown below.

ModelCycleTrader split
1-Step and 2-StepTuesday60%
1-Step and 2-StepBi-weekly80%
1-Step and 2-StepOn-Demand90%
1-Step and 2-StepMonthly100%
FundingPips ProWeekly80%
FundingPips ZeroBi-weekly95%
Scaling (Hot Seat)On-Demand100%

The On-Demand 90% split requires a 35% consistency score, and the minimum On-Demand reward is 2% of the initial balance. Higher splits generally come with tighter conditions, so compare the cycle options against your trading style rather than chasing the highest percentage.

FundingPips Promotions and Current Offers

The current highlight is 20% off the listed price for any challenge. Promotions change, and our source material does not confirm the terms, expiry or any eligibility conditions attached to the discount. Check the official site for the exact conditions before you pay, and do not rely on a promo as the deciding factor in choosing a program.

FundingPips Customer Support

Our source material does not document FundingPips' support channels, response times or language coverage. Before buying a challenge, test how the firm responds to a pre-sale question on its site. Clear, quick answers about rules and payouts are a good sign, since disputes over rule interpretation are common with prop firms.

Who FundingPips Is For

FundingPips suits traders who already have a tested strategy and want a structured route to a larger funded account without risking a large personal deposit beyond the challenge fee. It is a reasonable fit for those comfortable with its consistency rules and news restrictions, and for traders who use cTrader, Match Trader or MT5. It is less suitable for beginners who have not yet proven a method, for news-driven scalpers on FundingPips Zero, and for anyone who expects unrestricted leverage.

If you want to compare alternatives, our reviews of FundedNext and FunderPro cover similar prop firm models. For a traditional broker comparison, see GFunded to understand how other firms structure their challenges.

Trading involves significant risk, and most traders who attempt prop challenges do not reach a funded payout. Only commit funds you can afford to lose, and make sure you fully understand the rules before you start.
